Most memorable event:

The first trip! Fish hits Dukie upside the head with a marshmallow shot from a slingshot ... this was the straw which broke his back and caused him to abandon the trip first thing Sunday morning.

Unfortunately, the camera broke on Kanoe I. Thus, there is no photographic history of the very first trip. However, so we can see how we've aged, here are pictures of some of the Kanoesters taken in the summer of 1987 (click to enlarge):

The Kanoe bench was built (by Pave, Fish, McKay, and Vich) and Ted Williams ushers in the motorized-Kanoe era. First appearance of OM (first documented drinker=Pave, honorable-mention as the only other Kanoesters drinking OM on Kanoe V goes to Rocky and Konnie-Meyers)
